Family Centres

The Coalition currently funds five family centres. These programs are geared towards families with children birth to 6 years of age and are free to attend. All of the drop in programs are for parents and children to attend together.

Parc La Salle Family Centre

Parc La Salle School, 190 Houde Drive (School Phone: 269-1503)

• 1. Parking is on Houde Street (past the one hour parking signs).
• 2. Use the main entrance to the school on Houde Street.
• 3. No need to check in at the office. Centre located in room 112. Follow signs in the hall.
• 4. Strollers and bikes can be left against the wall in the hall outside the Family Centre.
• 5. A sign-in sheet is located just inside the Family Centre door. Name tags can be found there as well.

Ryerson Family Centre

Ryerson School, 10 Ryerson Avenue (School Phone: 269-1400)

• 1. Parking is available along Ryerson. Please do not park in school stalls as that is assigned parking only.
• 2. We have our very own entrance at the back of the school (near the school playground on the East side of the school). The entrance is shared with the child care centre.
• 3. No need to check into the school office.
• 4. Stroller, coats and boots may be left in an assigned area just outside the Family Centre in the cloak room. Bicycle racks are located on either side of the school.
• 5. For security reasons everyone must sign in (the center's book daily) and wear a nametag.

Waverly Heights Family Centre

Run out of the Waverly Heights Community Centre, 1885 Chancellor Dr.
Will still be open Thursday & Friday mornings from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Grand Opening on September 21st, 2012.

• 1. Parking is in the community centre parking lot.
• 2. Use the side entrance on the south side of the building.
• 3.There is lots of room for strollers right inside the building.

North Fort Garry Family Centre

Faith Covenant Church, 1229 Windermere Avenue (School Phone: 299-1600)

• 1. Parking is at the rear of the Church.
• 2. You may enter in the front or the back door.
• 3. Signs will direct you to the family centre.
• 4. Strollers are permitted and there is a place inside the church doors to leave them.
• 5. There is a sign in binder and name tags.

Dalhousie Family Centre

Dalhousie School, 262 Dalhousie Drive (School Phone: 269-4101)

• 1. Parking is across Dalhousie street in the church parking lot or on any side street near the school. Parking in the school lot is reserved for school staff.
• 2. Use the main entrance (nearest the bulletin board).
• 3. Go to the office to check in, they will assist you on your first visit to find the Family Centre.
• 4. Strollers are permitted and there is a carpet to leave them outside the Family Centre.
• 5. There will be a sign-in book in the family centre to record your visit. We wear plastic clip-on name tags so we can learn each other's name.
